ElectricianOps — operated by Whiting Design and Electric / LumaDigits · Last updated May 2026

Who we are

ElectricianOps is field-operations software operated by Whiting Design and Electric / LumaDigits ("we", "us"). It is used by our staff to run our electrical contracting business and by our customers to view their estimates, invoices, and jobs.

Information we collect

  • Account data for staff and customers (name, email, phone, address).
  • Business records we create in the normal course of work: jobs, estimates, invoices, payments, photos, and notes.
  • QuickBooks Online data — if you connect QuickBooks, we read your customer list and related accounting records via Intuit's API solely to sync them into ElectricianOps. We do not sell this data or share it with third parties for marketing.
  • Bank account data (Plaid) — if you connect a bank account, we use Plaid to access your transaction history solely to power in-app spending insights and recurring-subscription detection. We store this data encrypted at rest, never sell it, and never share it for marketing.
  • Usage/technical data such as log entries and error reports used to keep the service running.

How we use it

To operate the business: schedule and track jobs, produce estimates and invoices, communicate with customers, process payments (via Stripe), and improve and secure the service. QuickBooks data is used only to keep customer and accounting records in sync.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that make the app work — e.g. Intuit (QuickBooks), Plaid (bank connections), Stripe (payments), SendGrid (email), Twilio (SMS), and our cloud host — each acting on our behalf. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention & security

Data is stored on a secured cloud server (encrypted at rest, served over TLS) and retained as long as needed to run the business and meet legal/accounting obligations. Sensitive credentials and access tokens are additionally encrypted at the application layer. Access is restricted to authorized users with multi-factor authentication. Bank-transaction data accessed via Plaid is retained only while the bank connection is active and is purged when you disconnect. You can request deletion of your personal data by contacting us.

Disconnecting your bank (Plaid)

You can disconnect a linked bank account at any time from the bank/finance page in the app. After disconnecting, we stop syncing, destroy the stored access token, and purge the imported transaction data. We access your bank data only for in-app spending insights and subscription detection.

Disconnecting QuickBooks

You can disconnect QuickBooks at any time from the QuickBooks page in the app, or from within your Intuit account. After disconnecting, we stop syncing and you may request deletion of any imported QuickBooks data.
